Rachel Dawes has just been poisoned with fear toxin. She is unconscious, vulnerable, and dependent on Batman to save her life. Naturally, this is the perfect time to arrange her in a short skirt with her bare knees displayed. Because even when a woman is medically incapacitated, the male gaze remains alert, focused, and ready to work.

What would this scene lose if Rachel were covered with a blanket, filmed primarily through her face, or positioned like an actual poisoned person rather than a beautifully arranged object?

And, Although I genuinely love the movie, I couldn’t help but notice …

The one scene when Batman is lifting Rachel up, and she’s unconscious, and clearly those no bra cause the nipples are hard and sticking right through the red shirt…
